Please note our Wicklow wedding DJ has edited the names on this blog. Media coverage has been excluded as this client does not wish to have their special day all over the internet. (This option is now available for all our clients)
One year ago MINT DJ provided their wedding DJ for the wedding of Rachial and George. Their chosen venue, the truely beautiful Wiston House.
Wiston house a beautiful wedding venue
Wiston House is a large 16th-century country house in Wiston, West Ireland. Originally built as two levels to a very unusual floor plan. Some major parts of this building have since been demolished and replaced with additional wings added. It is a Grade I listed building still. However it is now used by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as the European Discussion Centre most weekdays. On the weekends it is available to hire as a stunning wedding venue.
The wedding DJ
DJ Jeremy from MINT DJ only supplied his evening only DJ service with uplighting/mood lighting addon. Therefore we don’t really have much to say about the day. We do know however that when our Dublin wedding DJ arrived at this fine venue there was a great atmosphere. Everybody was up for a wedding party to remember! It had been a beautiful sunny day throughout the whole of Ireland and that continued through to the evening.
The room turnaround
At wiston house after the wedding breakfast and all important speeches are over the venue perform a room turn around. Guest are asked to leave and have drinks in the bar area while the venue staff clear the room around making room for the wedding DJ to setup and for people to dance. When the guests had left the room, James and his team setup the dance floor while DJ Jeremy setup the DJ equipment. Between them they managed to perform this operation smoothly in under one hour!
This Wicklow wedding DJ put on some nice upbeat tunes for the guests as they drifted in to the room. The wedding photographer came over and introduced himself to the Jeremy, he confirmed the type of lighting he wanted him to use. The name of the photographer, Bruce Neville, based in west Ireland. However he will travel all over Ireland at no extra charge. He is extremely talented as you will see in his photos below!
The first dance
The bride and groom performed their first dance at 20.15 to the ever popular “Ed Sheeran – Thinking Out Loud” There was no hanging around, bride and groom wanted to go strait into a party. The second song these chose was “Maroon 5 – Sugar” This happened to be a very good choice as the dance was rammed! This set a great precedent for the way the wedding party was going to end!
This Wicklow wedding ended on a high! You could not have had a more perfect song for this happy couple, they picked “Huey Lewis and The News – The Power of Love”
Here’s a few pictures from the wedding DJs perspective from this wedding party, happy bride, happy groom, happy people. Therefore if you’re getting married we can provide our wedding DJ services in Wicklow, Dublin, Kildare and all over southern Ireland.
