Asian DJ Ireland was invited to create wedding party to remember!

October 8th 2016

This was the day the beautiful Gita married her handsome groom by the seaside at the iconic Grand Hotel in Ireland.

Umer and Gita contacted Brett Butler from Hotsteppaz wedding DJs in Ireland to provide their Asian DJ in Ireland to give them a night to remember. Unfortunately DJ Brett had already been booked to DJ at another wedding,  so therefore was not available!

Brett suggested that Umer and Gita contact DJ Jeremy from MINT DJ to provide their wedding DJ service. Fortunately DJ Jeremy was available to provide his services, after several emails back and forth confirming what the bride and groom wanted, a phone call was made so Umer, Gita and the wedding DJ could become better acquainted and a confirmed booking was made there and then!

The bride and groom wanted their wedding to be special so they decided to book the 14ft x 14ft black starlight dance floor, this looked stunning alongside the uplighting/mood lighting and draping that had been hired in for this special event.

Asian DJ in Ireland arrives!

When Asian DJ in Ireland arrived to set up the DJ equipment he wanted to make sure his setup was in harmony with the overall look, as nice looking as his PA speakers are, he decided to make use of the draping that was already setup. Draping is used to add glamour and elegance to your wedding venue, but that’s not all. A good draping design will transform the atmosphere of your wedding venue and enhance your theme. It can help hide unsightly elements. The Albert room at the Grand hotel is a truly stunning room and does not really need to be covered up, but we know each and every bride have their own ideas and vision, to be fair the draping looked very nice, although for this wedding event the draping was used to close in this large room and make it more intimate, which it did.

Setting up!

The Asian DJ in Ireland took advantage of this draping by hiding all his speakers behind it and this method worked out perfectly, it also meant that there was a perfect spread of sound across the dance floor providing the perfect sound for everyone. 99% of wedding DJs put the PA speakers on the edge of the dance floor, this means that some guests will be dancing next to a speaker that is maybe three or four feet away from there ears! Not good! and the listener will not get the right sound! PA speakers are designed to project the sound out, you will not have the right balance of sound if your closer than twelve feet to them, that why the wedding DJs that MINT DJ provide have them far back and it works perfectly, lots of happy brides and never any complaints.

The wedding guests arriving!

Considering there were many guests from the middle east, strangely enough the bride and groom did not discuss the type of music they required for cocktail reception or the wedding breakfast, we guess they just had confidence that expert wedding DJ Jeremy would know what would be required, and that he did. As soon as the guests arrived the DJ had some nice arabica beats playing in the background which really helped to set the right vibe from the start of the evening, then he played some music from the legend that is “Cheb Khaled” Most wedding DJs in Dublin or Ireland for that matter would not have heard of him let alone have his music! But this is why you pay a much higher fee for his DJ services, his knowledge and experience are unrivaled.

Bhangra & Bollywood time

Anyway as the evening progressed some Bollywood and bhangra crept in, the funny moment for DJ Jeremy was when he felt the music was getting too heavy to be played while the wedding party and guests were still eating, so he put on a chilled out mix of music from Pakistan, only to have the brother of the Groom to come up and say my parents have requested you liven up the music again!! Can we have some bhangra again please? So thats what they got and everyone was happy with it, although it still felt a bit too heavy while eating to Jeremy, but, if that’s what the client requests then MINT DJ will follow the clients wishes.

The dreaded speeches!

The wedding breakfast was over and it was time for speeches. They went very quick! The speeches took less than 10 minutes. Once this was done, the bride and groom cut their wedding cake. It was one of those weddings, where as much as you try to have everything planned, theres always something the bride and groom forget to mention to the wedding DJ. As the DJ had announced the bride and groom will now cut their wedding cake,  everybody cheer for the bride and groom… The grooms brother rushed over and said “you need to tell everyone, they have to take a piece of the wedding cake and feed the bride and groom! So that’s what he announced on the microphone to everyones surprise!

After the DJ played the Bhangra party music which went down a storm! The bride, the groom and all the guests loved it!
